Wafer-Type Backrest-Seated Butterfly Valve
The Wafer-type backrest-seated butterfly valve is a compact, mid-performance fluid control solution. It is a robust industrial valve designed specifically for demanding operating conditions. Corrosion Resistance, Low Torque, and Zero Leakage
The rigid-backed seat in this wafer-style butterfly valve features a heavy-duty core made of high-strength materials (such as phenolic resin, fiberglass, or aluminum alloy). The valve body is finished with a polyester coating, providing excellent corrosion resistance. This design ensures exceptional resistance to high temperatures, wear, and erosion. Furthermore, the innovative design significantly reduces operating friction, thereby drastically lowering the required operating torque. This reduction in torque allows for the use of smaller, more cost-effective pneumatic or electric actuators, reducing overall system configuration costs and substantially extending the valve's service life.

Dual Sealing and Wafer-Style Construction
The seat design prevents pipeline media from coming into contact with the valve stem or body. The primary seal is achieved through an interference fit between the molded flat face of the seat and the valve disc hub. A secondary seal is created by the stem diameter being slightly larger than the seat's stem bore diameter. As a wafer-style valve, it lacks flanges at the ends; instead, it is clamped directly between pipeline flanges using long bolts. This results in a compact, lightweight design that saves space, making it ideal for installations where space is limited.

The unique cylindrical-fit seat design allows for simple and convenient installation within the valve body. Compared to similar valves, it offers advantages such as secure seat retention, quick and easy replacement, and low operating torque. The seat also features a molded O-ring, eliminating the need for separate flange gaskets.
