Single-Acting Pneumatic Actuator
The ET VALVE single-acting pneumatic actuator (featuring spring-return functionality) is a highly reliable valve automation device designed for safety-critical fluid control applications. Unlike double-acting designs—where both travel directions rely on pneumatic pressure—this actuator utilizes compressed air to drive movement in one direction (opening or closing) while employing an internal mechanical spring to execute the return stroke. In the event of an air supply or power failure, the built-in spring mechanism automatically returns the valve to a preset safe position (i.e., "fail-open" or "fail-closed"), thereby ensuring a high level of operational safety and system protection.

Fail-Safe Protection Mechanism
Incorporating a rugged, high‑resilience spring cartridge system, this actuator provides a critical safety net for industrial fluid control. When air supply is suddenly lost, pressure drops too low, or an emergency power cut occurs, the pre-compressed springs instantly release their stored mechanical force – within milliseconds – to drive the valve back to a predetermined safe position. This rapid reset action helps prevent uncontrolled media leaks, over-pressure bursts in pipelines, or damage to downstream equipment that could otherwise result from pneumatic failures. In short, it keeps operations safe and protects the environment even in hazardous situations.

Modular Spring Design
Built around an advanced pre-loaded, corrosion-resistant spring cartridge, this design marries high‑efficiency fail‑safe performance with flexible configuration. Users can easily change the number or arrangement of springs to suit different valve torque demands, without having to swap out the entire actuator – giving you precise torque matching on the fly. The unique pre-loaded encapsulation also removes the danger of sudden stress release that used to occur when taking apart conventional springs. As a result, installation, removal, and routine maintenance are straightforward and safe, requiring no specialist tools, which significantly cuts downtime.

Superior Corrosion and Wear Resistance
Designed for corrosive, salty, or dusty industrial sites, this actuator offers outstanding durability and complete protection. The main body is crafted from a premium extruded aluminium alloy, fine‑ground and hard-anodised to give a wear‑resistant surface with low friction. The end caps are safeguarded by an epoxy resin coating – applied at high pressure – that acts as a strong chemical barrier, effectively withstanding acids, alkalis, and corrosive vapours. Consequently, the unit achieves a considerably extended lifespan in demanding environments, and operational expenses are kept to a minimum over the long term.
