Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve
This gate valve from ET VALVE uses a non-rising stem (NRS) design – which means the stem doesn’t move up and down at all; instead, it rotates a nut inside the gate to open or close the valve. That one difference makes the whole assembly remarkably compact, so it fits easily into tight pipe racks or cramped equipment compartments where a traditional rising-stem valve simply wouldn’t have room. The gate itself is fully encapsulated in EPDM rubber, giving it a resilient seating surface that closes firmly and delivers absolutely zero leakage across the seal. On the inside, the body features a flat-bottomed design that stops sand, scale, or any other debris from settling and building up over time. Even when you're handling sewage or slurry, this valve has proven itself capable of running reliably for decades with no maintenance required – and that's not just marketing talk.

When headroom is tight – think underground chambers, low basements, or crowded mechanical rooms – a conventional rising‑stem valve can be a real headache. You have to leave extra vertical space for the stem to rise, and that often forces you to rethink your whole layout. We took a different approach with our NRS gate valve: the stem doesn't rise; it turns. Rotating the threaded stem inside the gate raises or lowers the sealing element without any upward movement whatsoever. So the valve stays the same height whether it's fully open, partially open, or closed. Engineers can pack more piping into less space, with no interference concerns and no last-minute redesigns.

No sediment trap, full‑bore flow path
Conventional gate valves are often plagued by debris piling up in the bottom of the body, which leads to seal degradation and noticeable pressure drops over time. Our NRS gate valve takes a different approach: the flow path is smooth and flat-bottomed, with an internal bore that matches the pipe diameter exactly. There are no pockets or hollows down below where solids can lodge. That means sand, sludge, grit, and other carried particles simply flow right through without getting caught under the gate. This continuous flat-bottom layout not only cuts out turbulence, but also gives a self-cleaning effect with every flow cycle – so you get a dependable 100% shut-off seal, and maintenance downtime drops significantly as a result.

Long-lasting corrosion resistance
For installations that face punishing underground conditions or have to handle corrosive media, the protection system on this valve really earns its keep. We apply an electrostatic spray process to coat every exposed surface of the body and bonnet – inside and out – with a fusion-bonded epoxy (FBE) layer. This coating bonds tenaciously to the metal, forming a seamless barrier that stands up to electrochemical attack, ground moisture, and chemical corrosion. By keeping scale from building up inside and rust from forming outside, it adds years to the valve's service life – so you can count on smooth, trouble-free operation season after season, with no unexpected hiccups.
