A grooved butterfly valve is a type of pipeline control valve that regulates water flow—or shuts it off entirely—by rotating a disc (the butterfly plate) 90 degrees. Innovative Grooved Connection Technology
The most distinctive feature of the grooved butterfly valve is the annular groove design at both ends of the valve body, enabling rapid mechanical connection to the pipeline via a coupling clamp. Compared to flange connections, installation time can be reduced by 50% to 70%, thereby significantly lowering labor costs and shortening project schedules. As the installation process requires no hot work (welding), on-site fire hazards are eliminated. This makes it an ideal choice for renovation projects, operations in confined spaces, rapid-construction projects, and fire protection systems. Installation simply involves placing a rubber gasket over the pipe ends, enclosing them with a two-piece coupling clamp, and tightening the bolts; no welding, flange bolt alignment, or secondary galvanizing is required. This type of flexible connection accommodates pipeline displacement caused by temperature fluctuations, allows for a certain degree of angular deflection, and provides vibration and noise isolation.
